All About Me

Hi! My name is Alane Reinert Ketter. I grew up on a farm two and a half miles east of Downs. I received my B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Idaho in 1993 and my Master’s degree in Instructional Technology from Kansas State University in 2001. While living in Idaho, I substituted full-time for twenty-five different K-12th grade schools in the states of Idaho and Washington, including the Nez Perce Indian Reservation. After returning to Kansas, I was a Title teacher at Glen Elder Junior High for two years, the 4th, 5th, & 6th grade Title teacher at Beloit Elementary for two years, and a First Grade teacher for thirteen years. I was the Web Page Facilitator/Designer for 8 years at BES.

I live in Downs with my fifteen year-old daughter, Kaylynne, and my husband, Ryan. During the summer and fall, I farm with my husband, Ryan. During the school year, I teach CCD classes, am an Eucharistic Minister, and Parish Council Member for the St. Mary's Catholic Church.
