Mrs. Eck has taught fifth grade at Beloit Elementary since graduating from Fort Hays State University in 1981. She and her husband, Jay, live in Beloit. They have two children. Her son, Matt, attends Fort Hays State University and her daughter, Brittany, is now at Kansas State University. Mrs. Eck was honored by receiving the 1996 USD 273 Teacher of the Year Award and the 1997 Celebrate Literacy Award from the Thunderbird Council. She enjoys reading and drawing, and tries to maintain a sense of humor in her teaching. She is often seen attending various activities of her own children and those of present and former students.
