National FFA week
National FFA
week is February 21-27. The purpose of this event is to promote the FFA mission.
The FFA Mission:
The National FFA
Organization is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of young
people by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and
career success through agricultural education.
To accomplish this mission,
FFA:
The Agricultural Education
Mission:
Agricultural Education
prepares students for successful careers and a lifetime of informed choices in
the global agriculture, food, fiber and natural resources systems.
The National Council for
Agricultural Education:
The National Council for
Agricultural Education provides leadership, coordination and support for the
continuous improvement and diversity of agricultural education.
FFA ensures that students are prepared to realize their dreams through integrated education and hands-on experience. As a participant in FFA and agricultural education, students become ready to make the transition from high school and college to the rest of life. Their success is ensured by the lessons they've learned through FFA and the dedication of Team Ag Ed.
These reasons and many more are why FFA has chosen One Mission: Student Success as the theme for 2003 National FFA Week and, in addition, the 75th anniversary.
75 years of strengthening communities, schools and the agricultural industry has shown us many possibilities. Yet, the strongest potential continues to be found in the hearts of our members. The FFA blue jacket will always be legendary, but student success will remain our legacy.
