Congratulations to the students and staff of USD #273 & the Mitchell County Food Pantry for a sucessful food drive.  Students met thier goal as of Monday morning, earning a half day off of school on Dec. 19th. 

 

 

BES & BHS Annual Food Drive
November 17th-21st

 

Beloit Elementary & Beloit Jr./ Sr. High are joining forces to fill the shelves of the Mitchell County Food Pantry!  Each year, the schools conducts a district wide service project and brings in donations for the food pantry.  This year, if each school meets their goal, students will earn a HALF DAY OFF SCHOOL on December 19th!!!!! 

The goal for BES is to bring in 2,500 items.
The goal for BJSHS is to bring in 10,000 points.

 

BES list:

Macaroni Monday – Bring dried pasta like spaghetti, macaroni, Hamburger Helper
Tuna Tuesday – Bring canned meats like tuna and chicken
Wednesday is PB&J Day!  Bring Peanut Butter and Jelly
Thankful Thursday – Bring canned vegetables and canned soup
Fruity Friday – Bring canned fruit       

 

BJSHS list:

Points -BOLD IS MOST NEEDED-

5 POINTS: Stove Top Stuffing, Minute Rice, Hamburger Helper, Big Can of Soup, Big Can of Fruit, Juice (nonperishable), Pancake Mix, Muffin Mix, Soda Crackers, Toilet Paper, Laundry Soap, Peanut Butter

4 POINTS: Instant Mashed Potatoes, Can of Beef Stew, Cereal, Soap Bars, Pasta Sauce, Dry Pasta

3 POINTS: Small Can of Soup, Canned Fruit, Canned Corn, Canned Green Beans, Canned Peas, Canned Vegetables, Jelly

2 POINTS: Cranberry Sauce, Dry Beans, Ketchup, Mustard, Mayonnaise, Syrup, Macaroni and Cheese

1 POINT: Ramen Noodles (per package), Jello (per box)
