Dane G. Hansen gives BES $25,000 grant!

The Beloit school board office received an exciting letter recently.  The letter was from the trustees of Dane G. Hansen along with a check for $25,000.  A grant application was submitted to the trustees asking for assistance on completing a technology center in the new addition at Beloit Elementary.  With recent state budget cuts, the plans for the techology center were put on the back burner until the idea came up regarding Dane Hansen.  We're extremely grateful for any assistance the Trustees felt like providing.  The money will be used to purchase Lego curriculum, smartboards, chromebooks & furniture for the room.  The techonology center will be utilized by students and staff grades Preschool to 6th grade.  We didn't want it to be another computer lab setup.  Now with these funds, we can fulfil our original plan.
