Awesome Information About Electrical Apprenticeship Program:
Heineken Electric began an electrical apprenticeship program about a year and a half ago. Their program is registered with the State of Kansas and the Department of Labor, which enables them to educate their employees through related technical instruction and on-the-job training.
They will be interviewing and hiring this spring, with classes beginning in August. This would be a great opportunity for any seniors who may be interested in the electrical trade, but would also like to start working soon after graduation. All of their apprentices usually work Monday through Thursday and attend class one Friday a month in Beloit. There is little to no cost to be in the program other than transportation to class in Beloit and purchasing a basic tool kit (arrangements can be made for reimbursement).
