Rolling Hills Electric will select two delegates to sponsor for the following youth trips:

  • One high school junior will go to Washington, D.C., as part of the Electric Cooperative Youth Tour
  • One high school junior will go to Steamboat Springs, Colorado, for the Cooperative Youth Leadership Camp

In addition to the two trips to be awarded to the top two applicants, each recipient will receive a $500 scholarship upon high school graduation.

Initial application form must be received by DECEMBER 30, 2022. The application can be accessed and submitted online here:  Rolling Hills Electric Cooperative Scholarship Application

After the application deadline has passed, contestants will receive an official entry packet. Finalists will be chosen from a completed application, resume, open book quiz and short essay.

Finalists will be interviewed to determine winners (time and date to be announced).

Trip winners are expected to speak at Rolling Hills Electric’s Annual Meeting.

The top scoring participant will have first choice of which all-expense paid trip they wish to attend.

PLEASE NOTE: Rolling Hills Electric pays for transportation, lodging, meals and other incidental costs incurred with all trips. The safety of students and chaperones is their top priority. If trip coordinators feel that travel is unsafe, they will cancel the trips. In this case, they may ask delegates to participate in an alternate activity for an award.
