Title 1 is a federal program that provides funds to schools and districts based upon the percentage of students qualifying to receive free or reduced price (school) meals. The purpose is to ensure that all children have access to quality instruction and resources that will enable them to meet state academic standards.

#11 - All teachers are highly qualified. Anyone who would like a copy of a teacher's certification can contact the Board of Education office at 785-738-3261 during normal business hours or can stop by at 2020 N Independence, Beloit.

PTO meetings are the second Monday of the month @ 5:30. These are every month of the year.

We have surveys that go out every year for input from certified staff, classified staff, and 20% of parents. They have questions about the value and effectiveness of Title 1 program.

Back to school night is the third Friday in August.

We have parent nights for Kindergarten through 6th grade every August. At this meeting the principal discusses the Title 1 program and how it works. Parent teacher conferences are scheduled after first quarter and midway through the third quarter.
