Title 1

Link to State Report Cards

Title 1 is a federal program that provides funds to schools and districts based upon the percentage of students qualifying to receive free or reduced price (school) meals. The purpose is to ensure that all children have access to quality instruction and resources that will enable them to meet state academic standards.

#10 - These are available at the elementary school, I will include a copy of a Compact.

#11 - All teachers are highly qualified. Anyone who would like a copy of a teacher's certification can contact the Board of Education office at 785-738-3261 during normal business hours or can stop by at 2020 N Independence, Beloit.

#12 - All teachers are highly qualified. If your child is instructed by four continuous weeks by a teacher that does not meet the definition of "highly qualified" you will be notified.

#13 - If you would like a copy of your students state assessment scores, please contact Brady Dean, Principal at Beloit Elementary School, 785-738-3581 during regular business hours.

#14 - Beloit Elementary School is a Title 1 school. We have highly qualified teachers working with all students in reading and math. We also have paraprofessionals working with students. These paraprofessionals are under the direct supervision of the highly qualified teacher.

#15 - We conduct annual evaluation of the Title 1 Program by looking at Aimsweb growth as well as State Assessment scores for all students.

#16 - Site Council meetings, last Monday of the month for the months of August, September, October, November, January, February, March, and April (if needed). These are every month of the school year.

PTO meetings are the second Monday of the month @ 5:30. These are every month of the year.

We have surveys that go out every year for input from certified staff, classified staff, and 20% of parents. They have questions about the value and effectiveness of Title 1 program.

Back to school night is the third Friday in August.

We have parent nights for Kindergarten through 6th grade every August. At this meeting the principal discusses the Title 1 program and how it works. Parent teacher conferences are scheduled after first quarter and midway through the third quarter.

#26 - If you are in need of assistance, please get in touch with Beloit Elementary School Social Worker Michelle Ellenz. She can provide you with the information to access the resources.
