Mitchell County Regional Medical Foundation's Jordan, Nothern, Shumate Healthcare Legacy Scholarship:

 

The Mitchell County Regional Medical Foundation was established to promote and support the medical and health needs of north central Kansas. Encouraging young professionals to pursue medical fields was identified as one of the needs to ensure the continuance of quality healthcare.

 

The Medical Foundation is currently awarding a legacy scholarship in memory of Carl Jordan, Jim Nothern and Denis Shumate. Applicants must be residents of Mitchell, Jewell, Lincoln, Cloud, or Osborne County. Students should be pursuing a healthcare related field (e.g., medicine, nursing, mental health, occupational therapy, physical therapy, radiology, clinical laboratory or healthcare related fields) and or advancing medical certifications. Preference is given to post-secondary and non-traditional students. 

 

Applicants must demonstrate good character, citizenship, and leadership.

Qualifications – The applicant must be a full or part-time student enrolled in an approved post-high school educational program in a health-related profession. Scholarship recipients will be chosen by a selection committee judging on academics, work related experience and strength of character
